The goal of our search is to identify the best possible candidate for proposal to the Vestry for the position of Rector of St. John's Church that will help lead our congregation to a place where all are welcome and share in the good news of the risen Christ and to spread that word.

Our committee is made up of a good cross section of the congregation -- educators, business owners, retirees, middle age and young family members -- men and women that are committed to a thorough and prayerful search.  Our efforts are directed to finding a priest that will recognize our strengths and forgive our weaknesses and that will work with us to accomplish the goals that we have established as seen elsewhere in the profile. 

We are fortunate to have a highly qualified Interim Rector that, in addition to being our pastor during the search process, is also working to put the business and administration of the parish on solid footing.  His efforts will make for a smoother transition for our new Rector.

We are excited with the prospect of having a new voice from the pulpit and new eyes with which to see our community.  We are looking for leadership that will guide and direct us in our work as a congregation to serve our fellow man -- leadership that will help us in our spiritual growth and a pastor that will be there to comfort us during the sad occasions and to celebrate with us the joyful ones.  Most importantly to be a part of our lives as a teacher, comforter, preacher and friend.
