We are committed to offer a thoughtful worship experience through prayers and
scripture, sermon and music that is both inspiring and nourishing to you in your spiritual journey.
Sundays, 8am:
This is a traditional Holy Eucharist service, with lessons and prayers, sermon and sacrament. It
is an especially good service if you are looking for a quiet, reflective worship time or simply want to experience worship
at St. John's.
Sundays, 10:30am:
This is the major service of the day, and combines music and prayers, children and sermon all in a full, uplifting worship
experience. Special opportunities to participate in this service include serving as lay readers,
acolytes and ushers. Those who enjoy singing or value the gift of music will appreciate the ministry of the choir under
the direction of Dr. David Castleberry, who is also voice professor and director of choral program at Marshall University.
Mid-Week Services During special seasons we offer
a Thursday morning service of Holy Eucharist at 10am in our side chapel, with anointing as well. This service
of quiet worship and encouragement will be offered during the season of Lent, which begins on Wednesday, February 6th.

"Grant, we beseech you, Almighty God, that the words which we have heard this day with
our outward ears, may, through your grace, be so grafted inwardly in our hears, that they may bring forth in us the fruit
of good living, to the honor and praise of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord." - prayer from
The Book of Common Prayer
